Using LawnNotes

Terms of Service

These terms set the ground rules for LawnNotes accounts, shared field records, media, measurements, and reports.

Effective September 5, 2026

Agreement and eligibility

By creating an account, accepting an invitation, or using LawnNotes, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use LawnNotes for a company or other organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, and able to enter a binding agreement. Do not use the service if applicable law prohibits you from doing so.

Accounts and organizations

You are responsible for accurate account information, safeguarding credentials and devices, and activity performed through your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

Each account belongs to one organization workspace. Workspace owners control invitations, roles, membership, company settings, checklist definitions, and ownership transfer. Other members may create and edit operational records as allowed by their role. An owner should transfer ownership before leaving a workspace that others still use.

Subscriptions and billing

The LawnNotes Pro plan is $5 USD per month per company and includes unlimited crew members in that company workspace. The company owner subscribes in the iPhone app; invited crew members do not need separate subscriptions. A subscription covers one company and includes its iPhone and web access.

Transferring company ownership in LawnNotes does not transfer the Apple Account responsible for billing. The Apple Account that purchased the subscription must manage or cancel it. Coordinate billing with the incoming owner before leaving a company.

LawnNotes offers a monthly auto-renewing subscription purchased in the iPhone app through Apple. The purchase screen shows the price, billing period, included access, and any applicable offer before you confirm. Prices and taxes may vary by country. No trial applies unless one is expressly shown in the purchase screen.

Apple charges your Apple Account when you confirm a purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of that period. Manage or cancel a subscription in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancellation stops future renewals; access normally continues until the paid period ends.

Use Restore Purchases in LawnNotes while signed into the Apple Account used for the purchase if you need to recover subscription access. Contact support if a purchase is associated with a different LawnNotes account. Refund requests for Apple purchases are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, subject to Apple's policies and applicable law. Statutory consumer rights are not affected.

Deleting the app or your LawnNotes account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel in your Apple Account subscription settings before deleting your account if you want billing to stop.

We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and maintain subscription status. Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies to the iPhone app. Future pricing changes will follow applicable law and Apple's notification and consent requirements.

Acceptable use

You may use LawnNotes for lawful property-walk and field-operations purposes. You may not:

  • Access another person's account, workspace, report, or data without authorization.
  • Upload unlawful, infringing, deceptive, malicious, or privacy-invasive content.
  • Record people, enter property, or collect customer information without the permissions required by law.
  • Probe or bypass security controls, disrupt the service, introduce malware, or misuse automated access.
  • Use LawnNotes to make unlawful eligibility, employment, housing, insurance, or credit decisions.

Your content

You and your organization retain ownership of the information, photos, videos, notes, and other content submitted to LawnNotes. You grant LawnNotes a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, process, display, transmit, and create technical derivatives of that content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content and to allow the service to process it. You are responsible for configuring team access and customer visibility appropriately and for keeping an independent copy of records your business must retain.

Reports and measurements

Customer report links are designed to be shared. Anyone with an active link may be able to view its published contents until an authorized user revokes the link. You are responsible for reviewing each report, its media visibility, and its recipients before publishing or forwarding it.

Manual calculations, AR-assisted measurements, material estimates, annotations, and reports are field aids—not surveys, engineering opinions, safety certifications, bids, or guarantees. Verify important measurements and decisions with appropriate tools and qualified professionals.

Service availability and changes

We may maintain, change, suspend, or discontinue features. Connectivity, device capabilities, browser storage, permissions, and third-party services can affect availability. LawnNotes supports local and offline workflows, but synchronization and uploads may require the app to be open and connected; unattended background transfer is not promised.

We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or that every error can be recovered. Keep source media and any business-critical records required outside LawnNotes until you have confirmed successful synchronization and export.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using LawnNotes and request account deletion as described on the account deletion page. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address security, legal, harmful-use, or material Terms violations.

Deleting one member's account does not necessarily delete records owned or still used by the organization. Rights and obligations that by their nature should survive—such as ownership, permitted retention, disclaimers, and responsibility for past conduct—continue after termination.

Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LawnNotes is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, or error-free results.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LawnNotes will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, business opportunities, goodwill, or data arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms as the service changes. We will post the revised Terms with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required. Continued use after the effective date means the updated Terms apply to future use.

Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@lawnnotes.com.
